On Aug. 2, 2010, Li Shufu, Board Chairman of Geely, and Lewis Booth, Chief Financial Officer of Ford, attended the delivery signing ceremony in London. By then, Geely had completed the buyout of Volvo Automobile Company, a brand of Ford.
On Jan. 11, 2010, Geely’s project “Innovative Engineering Construction of Technological System for Geely’s Strategic Transformation” won the second prize of China Science and Technology Progress Award (the first prize vacancy).
On Dec. 4, 2009, Geely was awarded as the 2009’ “Most Honored Enterprise in China”.
On Sept. 23, 2009, HK-Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong Exchange stock code: 175, Geely or Company) made the declaration of signing an agreement with Goldman Sachs Capital Partners (GSCP) so that GSCP could invest in Geely by subscribing convertible bonds and warrants. Geely would be offered HKD 2.586 billion (USD 0.33 billion) after the issue of convertible bonds and the full execution of warrants.
On Mar. 27, 2009, Geely made a successful acquisition of the world second largest automatic transmission company – Australian DSI.
In Mar. 2009, the launching ceremony of the Green Action “Let the World Filled with Geely” and the Activity of Summoning “Green Volunteer” took place at the Geely’s headquarters in Hangzhou; in the same month, Geely was rated as the “Star-class Benchmark Enterprise of China’s Green Company in 2008”.
On Aug. 25, 2008, organized by the British government and British Think London, “A Tour into London” was officially launched in Beijing. The first TX 4 manufactured by LTI Automobile Company was modified by the British correspondent as a “Mobile Ambassador” to do propaganda for the 2012 London Olympics.

In 2008, China’s first Master and Doctor Graduate School of Automotive Vehicle - Zhejiang Engineering College was established.
On Jan. 13, 2008, Geely’s BMBS struck a pose in the 2008 North American International Auto Show and was granted the “Special Contribution Awards for Invention and Innovation Practice”.
On May 18, 2007, Geely made its declaration to the automobile industry on its entering into the phase of strategic transformation and became the first automobile enterprise in China declaring the entry into strategic transformation.
On Jan. 23, 2007, Ukraine SKD Project was officially launched, with the first 300 sets of KD parts being exported, realizing a breakthrough for Geely to manufacture overseas.
On Oct. 24, 2006, representing the HK-listed company of Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. (0175HK) and Shanghai Maple Auto, Li Shufu, Board Chairman of Geely, signed official agreements on manufacturing of branded taxis by joint investment with Manganese Bronze Holding (MBH), which was different from the convention of Sino-foreign joint ventures and embarked on a new stage of automobile manufacturing of Sino-foreign joint ventures. Jia Qinglin, President of CPPCC, and Baroness Amos, Leader of the House of Lords and Lord President of the Council, were present at the signing ceremony.
On Sept. 12, 2005, Geely automobiles showed in the 61st session of German Frankfurt Auto Show, signifying a historic breakthrough for China’s own brand of automobile to be exhibited on world-class auto show in the last hundreds of years
In May 2005, Geely was successfully listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (0175 HK), making an important step forward on its way to internationalization.
